Great American Smoke-Out

Great American Smoke-Out

The American Cancer society is having its 35th annual Great American Smoke-out on November 18th.  This is basically a day to encourage all smokers to take a day off, and possibly even quitting smoking for good.  By stopping smoking that one day, smokers will all be taking an important step to a healthier and safer life.  Not only will Quitting smoking help your health, but it will also save you a lot of money over time.  The toll free number you can reach the American Cancer Society at is; 1-800-ACS-2345.  There is also information online at their website, www.cancer.org.   Lander also has resources for students and faculty that are trying to break the habit.  For more information contact the student wellness center in Genesis Hall or by calling (864) 388-8885.  Ending your smoking habit will not be easy, but it will be well worth it in the end and can be done.
