Lander Golf Team

Coach, Chipper Bagwell, led the Lander Bearcats golf team to win their first Bearcat Classic tournament.  The Bearcat classic was held at the 6,800 yard par 72 greenwood country club.  All of the teams participated in a 2 day, three round event.  Lander looked very impressive as they took down conference rivals, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and Georgia College and State University.  Lander scored the tournament low, 833 to win the classic.  Armstrong Atlantic state university and Georgia College and State University finished in second with the score of 840.  Landers, Davis Lee tied for third and led the bearcats with 7-under 209.  Their next tournament is April 12, at the PBC tournament, in Calloway Gardens, Georgia.  The Bearcats have 5 freshmen on their roster, and the Lander Golf team looks to have a very bright future.
